What must I do to be saved?
This is the most important question we can ask in life. The best way to learn the answer is to look at what the Bible says. This question was asked in various ways several times in the Bible. Perhaps, the most most memorable is recorded in Acts 2:37, "Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, 'Brethren, what shall we do?'"
Pay close attention to the Apostle's answer: "Peter said to them, 'Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit'" (Acts 2:38).
Wow! How simple! These people had come to understand that they were guilty of sin and that their sins would separate them from God for all eternity, unless something was done. Peter tells them that the answer is to "repent," which means to change your ways, and "be baptized."
When a person comes to God with a pierced heart, repents of their sin, and allows themselves to be immersed in water for the forgiveness of their sin, they become a saved child of God! Praise the Lord! Now, have you had your sins forgiven!?
